In the 1980s, two sisters from the ordinary Rivers family are both desperate to marry the factory director's sons to avoid being sent to the countryside. The beautiful Mavis uses every trick in the book to capture the heart of the younger son, eventually turning the wild rebel into her devoted "loyal dog."
