Father Li is imprisoned for economic crimes, and the Li family falls from grace. Li Wanyi returns from abroad, forced by pressure to marry Song Lun, the younger brother of Song Tingyuan, the richest man in Songcheng. Adding to the chaos is Su Jin’an’s close friend Xue Danning, who frequently harasses Wanyi and meddles in her life. Farces unfold in hospitals, shopping malls, balls, and police stations, all of which the female lead Li Wanyi easily defuses. During these incidents, Yubai steps in to protect her, and their hearts grow closer. By an unfortunate twist of fate, a video of Gu Yanzhi sending flowers to Wanyi,misinterpreted by passersby as a proposal,goes viral. After the video surfaces, Yubai believes he has no chance with Wanyi and becomes furious. A love triangle ensues, and photos emerge of Wanyi happily adopting a child abroad with her senior years ago. Deeply devastated, Yubai signs a divorce agreement in a fit of anger. Shortly after, recalling their past, Yubai refuses to give up. He finally musters the courage to confess his feelings, driven by unwillingness to let go, and discovers that Wanyi loves him too,a mutual confirmation of their affection. The two resolve their past misunderstandings.
